My advice: Move slowly. Make your committment to cross the street, start walking very slowly and NEVER.. NEVER run! It throws them off! Watch others do it, you'll catch on. I know what you mean, though, I've never had such a feeling of breathlessness as I did when I was there!
Be sure to hire one of those guys pestering you for a ride. You'll forget you're not wearing a helmet in no time! Have someone take you by the downed B-52 in the small swamp.
Sorry we couldn't hook up - I can't wait to hear your impressions! I LOVE Ha noi!
