KITA

KITA is the Kumasi Institute of Tropical Agriculture. My first impression was one that was quite interesting. I found out there was no regular electricity ( the generator is not turned on every night), no running water ( which means bucket showers), no place to properly store food, there were chickens and puppies running around and one very cute flea bag of a cat. It was eye opening but nothing I could not handle. The grounds were amazing as I got to see the plots the students each have to work on. These students work each day on practical skills to maintain the grounds and keep up there individual plots of crops.
