London, England

The last stop on our trip was to visit with my brother in London. We arrived at 5:30 in the morning after flying from Aukland to Kuala Lumpur ( 11 1/2 hours) a 4 hour lay over and then Kuala Lumpur to London ( another 11 1/2 hours). It was great to see Adrien as we were very tired. Seeing Adrien also meant we went full circle on our trip as he had sent us off from Paris 4 and a half months earlier. Ending in London got us a bit aclimatized for coming back to Canada. It was like fall. We really got to relax and enjoy our time. We arrived back on Dec. 13, 2005. The end to what has been the experience of a lifetime.

Christchurch and Aukland

From the moutains it was back to the cities. Christchurh is the largest city in the south island. We made a stop here for a couple of days before flying back to Aukland in the north. It was very weird to see the Christmas decorations when it was so warm and felt like spring. These two cities were both beautiful and very pleasant to walk around for a couple of days. It was sad when we had to leave Aukland because it really was the beginning of the way home.

Mt. Cook

It has been a while since we have been home but I felt we needed to finish the blog. One of the most photographed sights in New Zealand is Mt. Cook. It is the highest mountain. In front of Mount Cook is a blue lake that is so incredibly blue. It is just a very majestic mountain and we took time to hike around it.
