Rio from the top

The other must do's in Rio are Christ the Redeemer and Sugar loaf. The Christ statue seems to be looking at you no matter where you go in the city. The view from the top where it sits is spectacular. Equally incredible is the view from Sugar loaf which is an aerial car ride up to the top peek of a rock hill.

Rio - the beaches

This post makes me think of Barry Manilow as we enjoyed the amazing Copacobana beach. Rio is big, covered in graffiti and a place like no other we have been before. The beaches are huge, beautiful and busy.  We went to Copacobana, Ipanema, Leme all beautiful.

So the first stop on our journey this time was Florida to visit Dianne's parents and soak in the relaxing retirement living. Golf , tennis making a Thai dinner for Dianne's parents and there friends were a great way to start
